In 1960, when Triple R opened its gates for the first time, horses were an important part of the Ranch's activity plans. We meet adults today who still remember the names of their favorite Triple R horses from when they were kids! Horseback riding is still important year-round here. Triple R's riding program is supervised and taught by well trained, qualified instructors who put safety as priority one. Learning horsemanship in a safe manner is very important to us, a conviction you'll see expressed in everything we do with horses at the Ranch:
General Class Information
Our Fall session of riding lessons is a eight week session and starts September 16th, continuing through November 4th. (Thursday lessons: September 14th through November 2nd.)
We have a couple options available for lessons:
We are making a few changes to our riding program to improve your experience. Our most notable change in policy is that we will now be able to pro-rate the cost of the riding lesson package based on the number of dates the student will be able to attend. If the student is aware of dates they will be missing and gives notice on the registration form, the cost of the session will be adjusted accordingly. This change in policy is not applicable for simply missing a lesson. Notice must be given at the time of registration. This is to accommodate sports and other obligations students often have. We hope this will help as families are budgeting and scheduling out the school year, and we hope you make riding at Triple R a part of that schedule!
Registrations must be received by Tuesday, September 12th. Registration forms and further information about lesson prices can be found below.
While taking lessons at Triple R Ranch riders will work at their own individual pace, grow in their riding skills and build upon these skills as they complete each stage of our riding program. Always keeping safety in the forefront, the first stage riders will work through is Foundations. Then they will move on through the stages of Principles, Disciplines, Performance and Refinement.

3R Special Equestrians
The Special Equestrian program at Triple R Ranch uses the movement and interaction of a horse to help individuals with physical disabilities. This therapeutic riding program can help participants improve balance, core strength, flexibility, muscle tone, posture, coordination and self-confidence.
Volunteers are an essential part of Special Equestrians. Without them our program cannot run. We need up to three volunteers per participant; a horse handler and two side walkers. Volunteering is more than just donating your time; it is helping people with disabilities achieve things they may have never thought possible before riding a horse. Volunteers do not need any experience working with horses or individuals with disabilities, we will train you to help here. We are always looking for volunteers who are committed and are reliable, willing to learn and be kind and respectful to others. Be part of a fun, positive and rewarding experience.
